Pastor J. D. Anderson, a native of Chicago, Illinois, celebrates seven years of pastoring and twenty-five years in gospel ministry. In his mother's womb he was called, anointed, and appointed for such a time as this. As the blessed shepherd of this flock, he preaches, teaches, counsels, and mentors under the unction of the Holy Spirit. This man of God has the heart of a worshiper, and so he models his trust in the Lord in his private and public worship. It is obvious that he desires more of God's anointing by his commitment to the Kingdom so that he may cover the sheep that have been assigned to his hands. Sinners are being saved; backsliders are being reclaimed; and the people of God are being revived.

Music plays an important role in his ministry. Having majored in Arts, Entertainment & Media Management, his love for concert promotion has allowed him to promote some of gospel music's greatest artists, including DeLeon Richards, Evangelist Shirley Caesar, Kirk Franklin, the Williams Brothers, the late Rev. James Moore, Tramaine Hawkins, Father Charles G. Hayes, the Canton Spirituals, Joe Ligon of the Mighty Clouds of Joy and Ricky Dillard & New Generation. Pastor Anderson furthered his studies by graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry.

To serve this present age has always been an inner desire of the pastor. He has been active in law enforcement for the past twenty years and is a decorated police officer.

He counts as his mentor, the Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., whom he has worked for and traveled with since 1980. In August, 2002, Rev. Jackson appointed Pastor Anderson as the National Chairman of the Rainbow/Push Ministers Division. This anointed servant receives many requests throughout the year to minister in Chicago and vicinity. His gift to the body of Christ is honored and recognized by pastors who wish for him to share with their congregations.

Since his coming to Centennial Church, we have grown from 75 members to more than one thousand and from nine ministries to some thirty ministries. The spirit of excellence is continuously stressed and taught. He reminds his congregants "the greater the sacrifice; the greater the reward." In February, 2008, Pastor Anderson shared with the congregation God's vision to build a multi-million dollar edifice for this growing ministry; because he believes God's outpouring of the latter rain, we are preparing for a greater harvest.

Pastor Anderson is married to Michellene Anderson and they are the proud parents of Justin and Briana.

Pastor Anderson believes the rest of his years will be the best of his years!
