Beautifying Ministry

The Beautifying Stewards is organized to beautify the church in every way possible. We desire to beautify in both a spiritual and natural way. Those who are members of this organization are always looking for areas within the church that need beautification.

Children’s Ministry (ages 3 – 12)

Our goal is to provide continuous activities for this group and to introduce Jesus Christ to them and to train them in the ways of Christ that when they are older they will not depart from this way.

Christian Education Ministry

We teach to reach, we teach to make a difference in the lives of our students. We teach to change the lives of our students and to help them grow in the Lord Jesus Christ so that they can take their rightful places in the body of Christ.

Greeter’s Ministry

We at Centennial do not have visitors; we have special guests. We want all of our guests to experience sincere hospitality and cordiality. We know so very well that the first impression is oftentimes a lasting impression.

Human Resource Ministry

The objective of this ministry is to provide the church family and the community with information in any and all situations that might be needed. Our ministry is to affect a change in your life through the love our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Marriage Ministry

This council is designed to enlighten the married couple to the necessity of loving each other with the love of Jesus, to promote a loving, caring, healthy and understanding relationship between husband and wife. We seek to strengthen the marriage bond utilizing Christian principles and social activities in a virtuous atmosphere.

Men’s Ministry – CMM

The Men’s assembly is to enlist the men and boys from our local congregation to cultivate, nurture and mentor one another in unity through vision, integrity, service and accountability (VISA). By the leading of God’s Spirit we will stand on His promises and exemplify His principles for all to see and understand.

Missionary Ministry – The Mission

The Missionary Ministry directs the various mission activities of the church. These committed individuals share the ministry with the entire church membership by searching out the needs of the membership and community. Missions is the focus of the church, thus, this group must work closely with the Pastor to reach the lost at any cost, guiding the church to call the unsaved to salvation, to care for the sick and/or dying, to visit the hospitals and nursing homes, and to share with those who are in prison.

Music Ministry

Songs of praise and worship are emphasized as the music department lifts our minds and souls to the gospel message and a spirit of praise. We exhort the congregation to worship with all forms of sacred music providing a variety of musical interpretation within the worship experience.

Nurses Ministry

We give service in church through our offering of comfort, first aid, genuine care and concern, especially during regular church service. The church nurse shows her image of God through serving God’s people wherever and whenever needed. We genuinely care about our church family and thus are prayerful in attitude and ready in heart and dedicated in action to lend a hand whenever the occasion merits it.

Prayer Ministry

This Centennial Ministry encourages a prayerful attitude by every member of the church. We believe in prayer and organize the entire body to pray. Various groups such as the Women’s and Men’s Ministries pray early in the morning at five and six o’clock. The entire congregation unites in prayer wherever we are on Wednesdays at 10:00 am and again at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary for our weekly prayer service.

Shepherd’s Ministry

This ministry is organized to assist the pastoral ministry of the church in many ways. Our desire is to fully support Pastor J. D. Anderson, his family, and God’s vision to him. Our scared duty is to direct the entire church membership in extending agape love and sincere appreciation to him for the many things he does for all of us.

Usher’s Ministry

The Ushers Ministry meets and greets our members and our guest at the door of the sanctuary. We aid in seating and in making you comfortable in the service of our Lord. Our job is to maintain Christian dignity during our worship experiences.

Willing Workers Ministry

The Willing Workers Ministry is organized to work on special projects, which need attention in the church. Members are those who enjoy laboring in love to better whatever conditions merit improvement. We are an excited group who willingly seek to encourage and assist in any and all activities of the church.

Women’s Ministry – Daughters of Virtue

The purpose of this ministry is to glorify God by challenging women: to know God personally, to grow in Christ likeness, to discover and use spiritual gifts, to love and serve others and in all we do to reflect the beauty of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Youth Ministry (ages 13 – 19)

Investing in Centennial’s youth is absolutely a must. These individuals are not only the church of tomorrow, but also the church of today. We desire to help our youth to discover the reality of being a Christian and the attributes needed to encourage them to fulfill their Christian duty. This ministry is so design to help our youth grow into adulthood using biblical principles for success living and especially to aid our youth to find God’s purpose in their lives.
